A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of fondling a sleeping passenger on a light-rail car in Mesa.
Mesa police say Theo Rogers Jr., 40, got off the Metro train at the Sycamore station, then re-boarded and sat in front of another male passenger who had fallen asleep. Metro employees working outside the train suspected Rogers of trying to steal something from the man, but said they instead found him reaching over the seat to fondle the man's groin, occasionally looking around to see whether anyone was watching.
The fondling continued even as employees banged on the train's window to get his attention. The train crew contacted rail security and detained Rogers until Mesa police officers arrived. Police said he did not cooperate with officers and requested an attorney, then was booked on one count of sexual abuse, a felony.

Obviously this was one of the drunks who hang out on mass transit. You're not "sleeping" when you don't feel someone rubbing your crotch, nor people banging on the window.
I'd rather mass transit employees report vagrants and passed-out drunks to the police.
