Pastor Roger Williams Jr. invites you to Mesa's Calvary Baptist Church, 3810 E. University Drive, on Sunday, Feb. 12 to celebrate Arizona's centennial. The church has been decorated with a Western/Arizona theme and the congregation has been encouraged to dress Western-style for the event.
Sunday School classes are at 9 a.m.; the morning worship service is at 10:15 a.m.
Calvary Baptist Church became part of Arizona's history in 1970 when Pastor Roger Williams Sr. left a ministry in Wisconsin and moved his family to Arizona. Since then, thousands of people have attended services there, according to a news release.
