What is a TMJ treatment?
It stands for temporomandibular joint dysfunction and is when a person has a problem with the joint or muscles in the jaw. Patients usually feel pain in their face jaw or neck, experience stiff jaw muscles, popping or locking of the jaw, or a shift in how their teeth align together.
Is this treatment included in regular check-ups?
No. You can mention to the doctor where you are feeling the pain and then we will take the necessary steps to examine and diagnosis what is wrong. Dr. Kalika will use our 3-dimensional imaging system to take pictures and then navigate through the image to see what is wrong. How much will this cost?
