Meet Gold Canyon writer John Paddison at a book signing for his newly-released novel "The Brothers' Keeper" from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 11 at The Book Rack, 1752 S. Signal Butte, Suite 108, in Mesa.
His novel tells the saga of the Lambson brothers in the fictional town of Farmington, N.D., during and after the Great Depression. The plot develops around the neglect and abandonment of five young boys by their alcoholic mother and drifter father.
Paddison is a professor emeritus at Central Arizona College.
