The City of Mesa is asking residents to check fixtures around the house for leaks that can waste hundreds of gallons of water per month as part of Fix a Leak Week.
Fix a Leak Week runs March 17-23 and encourages water conservation by repairing common types of leaks found in the home including leaking toilet flappers, dripping faucets, shower heads and irrigation systems.
Water leaks can add up to as many as 10,000 gallons of water wasted each year in your home.
The City is offering a step-by-step guide called “Find & Fix Leaks That Are Draining Your Budget.” Booklets can be picked up at the following locations: Mesa Main Library, Red Mountain Branch Library, Dobson Ranch Branch Library, Mesa Express Library, Municipal Building and the East Mesa Service Center.
