Mesa police arrested an 18-year-old man and two juveniles a woman said she saw break into a vacant house she was watching on Thursday that had been broken into before.

Matthew Gutierrez and the two youths were arrested on suspicion of burglary about 8:30 p.m., soon after patrol officers and the police department’s air unit arrived to pinpoint the suspects, who police say were attempting to steal items from the house in the 1500 block of East Jarvis.

Police say at least one of the suspects had gang affiliations, and the case now is being handled by the department’s gang unit.

Do you submit your work to an editor, Mike Sakal?
Come on, third grade English would indicate that your written statement is a run-on sentence. Would you consider re-wording it as such?

It is aggravating to read such poorly written stories in the EVT and the Arizona Republic. That's just locally. It is a trend across the country.
Take an English class at MCC, Mike. Maybe your employer will pay for it.

The hell with the grammar-----how about if that house was occupied? Does one think the burglurs would want to share tea and crumpets? Maybe a nice hot bath to sooth those tired, vandilizing muscles.

Thank you loubator for pointing out Sakal's annoying writing techniques. I'm glad someone else noticed!!! I don't know if their are enough English courses in the United States to help him though.

Oops I pulled a Sakal in my last sentence:) I used "their" instead of "there".

Yes!! I had to read that first sentence twice to even understand it. I kept waiting for the punctuation. How does this guy have a job as a writer????

BTW, Matthew shouldn't even be dignified to be called a man.
