Mesa is asking customers of the city-owned electric company to given their input on how the city buys its energy. Customers can submit comments online or attend an event at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at the City Utilities Building, 640 N. Mesa Drive. At the meeting, an engineer will discuss what types of energy are available, the current energy portfolio and what options have been explored for the future. The first 20 customers who attend will receive a free compact fluorescent light bulb.

Mesa reviews its energy-buying plan every five years. To get more information, go to www.mesaaz.gov/energy/, send an email to Anthony.Cadorin@mesaaz.gov or call (480) 644-4851.
