Local baseball fans who want to watch a few more games live this season can visit Hohokam Stadium and check out the Mesa Solar Sox play.
The Solar Sox participate in MLB’s Arizona Fall League, and is composed of prospects from the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Detroit Tigers, Oakland A’s and Washington Nationals. There’s a high probability several of the players competing for the Solar Sox will make an appearance on a major-league team.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and free for children ages 17 and younger, and all home games are held at Hohokam, which is located at 1235 N. Center Street in Mesa. Games are played Monday through Saturday, with day games beginning at 12:35 p.m. and night games at 6:35 p.m. until the championship game on Nov. 17. Call (602) 681-9362 for tickets.
