The Fergie Jenkins Foundation will not be holding its annual Fergie and Friends Legends Baseball Game this year.

The game, which had been held at Mesa’s Hohokam Stadium since 2008 and benefited a number of charities in the East Valley, was canceled for a variety of reasons, according to representatives of the foundation and Hohokam Stadium.

The foundation was unable to work out a date at Mesa’s Hohokam Stadium and attendance had dwindled at the game during the last couple of years.

However, three Hall of Famers, who participated in past games --  pitchers Jenkins, Rollie Fingers and Gaylord Perry -- will be among a number of baseball stars such as Dave Kingman, Jody Davis and Jim “Mudcat” Grant who will be signing autographs and selling memorabilia to benefit charity this week at Hohokam and Scottsdale Stadium.

Perry, Fingers, Grant and Bert Campaneris will be at Scottsdale Stadium for the remainder of spring training this week. Jenkins, Kingman, Davis and Pete LaCock will be at Hohokam.
