Can’t get down to the Mesa Arts Center? Then the MAC, and its complement of art festivals, dance performances and music workshops are coming to your home.
Airing through mid-July on Eight, the Arizona PBS affiliate, Mesa Arts Center programming will be broadcast through a series of AZArtBeat programs.
Upcoming programs include a June 14 airing on Contra Tiempo, the Los Angeles-based Latino dance company, as well as Mesa Takes Flight on June 28.
The final showing in the series – Jazz from A to Z – airs on July 19, featuring a partnership between MAC, Arizona State University, Mesa Public Schools and Jazz at Lincoln Center, and centering on how jazz is being used to help teach history in the classroom.
