Mesa will host a celebration of the year and an honoring of city leaders during a reception 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 8.
The event will be held at the Mesa Arts Center’s Virginia G. Piper Theater. It will include the swearing-in of newly elected city officials.
The evening will include photos, videos and music about Mesa and Arizona. It will be hosted by KTAR’s (92.3 FM) Ned Foster. Entertainment will include Marshall Trimble, author, storyteller and Arizona’s Official State Historian; and the state’s official historical brass band, the Territorial Brass Band.
A reception will follow the program.
