Downtown Mesa’s 2nd Friday event series is hosting a “Books on the Beach” block party Friday, blending local authors with a beach-themed fiesta.
Mesa’s 2nd Friday provides entertainment, live music, art and unique shopping experiences. The free event along Main Street carries a different theme each month
At June’s event guests can visit with local independent authors and publishers, hear local poets, compete in a tacky Hawaiian shirt contest and compare zombies in Evermore Nevermore’s zombie bikini contest. “Books on the Beach” block party will be held June 8 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information visit 2ndfridaynightout.com.
