“Show Me the Money,” a new exhibit at the Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa, 35 N. Robson, showcases the art of coins and currency, showing how cash has influenced art around the world.

Young visitors can create their own money and “shop” at the exhibit’s town market, where they learn about the history of piggy banks and how to save money. Parents can visit the museum’s Marketplace tents to see what their kids can buy with the money they save.

The Coin Stamping interactive demonstrates how U.S. coins are created. Kids can design their own coin and make an impression of an oversized coin with modeling clay, according to a release.

Admission is $7 for those 1 year and older. Members are free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m., Sundays.
