Free tax-filing help is available to lower-income earners through the Mesa United Way Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. More than 80 volunteers have gone through training to provide help for households with incomes under $50,000 beginning Jan. 31.

A number of times and locations are available, including 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays at Mercy Housing “Villas de Merced,” 520 N. Mesa Drive; and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Mesa Community College’s Kirk Student Center, 1833 W. Southern Ave.

For information, call Don Jensen at (480) 834-2113 or e-mail don.Jensen@mesaunitedway.org.
