More than 150 young artists submitted entries to Benedictine University at Mesa’s statewide art competition to win a 50 percent tuition renewable scholarship.
Arizona student artists were invited to showcase their artistic talents at the “Masters of Tomorrow Art Exhibition and Scholarship Competition.”
The scholarship and prize winners will be announced at an awards reception on Feb. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room at Gillett Hall at Benedictine. Attendees of the awards reception can purchase artwork at the exhibition with the artist’s permission.
“We really had some outstanding entries that speak well to the caliber of artist talent within Arizona,” said Assistant Professor of Fine Arts, Michael R. Tole in a press release.
Benedictine University at Mesa, along with the Mesa Arts Center partnered together last year to support and promote young Arizonan artists and provide them with additional resources to pursue higher education in the visual arts.
