Two East Valley hospitals are offering up to 80 free mammograms to women without insurance at a Mesa church on Saturday, Jan. 30.
Mammography is the use of X-rays to detect potential breast cancer.
The mammography clinic is being offered by Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert medical centers to women age 40 or older who are under- or uninsured and who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months. Both hospitals are owned by Catholic Healthcare West.
Red Mountain United Methodist Church, 2936 N. Power Road in Mesa, will host the event. Call (480) 830-0034 for an appointment.
