Mesa is offering a Neighborhood Awareness Seminar for residents Saturday at the Utilities Community Room, 640 N. Mesa Drive, according to officials.

The event will held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with scheduled breaks, said Susan Frabotta, a coordinator with the Neighborhood Outreach Department.

She said the facility can fit as many as 200 residents. The seminar will feature city officials, as well as public safety workers.

Topics include identifying gang activity, graffiti, how to use the city’s 911 system, and the Building Strong Neighborhoods Initiative, which currently exists in all of the city’s six districts, Frabotta said.
