Mesa Public Schools K-12 district writing contest winners will be honored on May 1.
First-place and honorable mention winners will be honored at the District Writing Awards Ceremony in the Brimhall Junior High auditorium.
Elementary students will be recognized at 6 p.m. followed by the secondary students at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony will honor the winners and present them with their certificates, ribbons and Voices 2014 anthologies.
Categories include narrative, poetry, class book and essay. Entries by first-place winners in each category will be published in the district writing anthology, Voices 2014.
