Celebrate Mesa will open this fall with longer hours and a free Halloween-themed event later this month.

The party, which will take place at Red Mountain Soccer Complex on Oct. 19, will feature a parade of costumes; a community stage with bands, martial arts and other types of live performances; and a main stage with music from KVIT-FM “The Goldmine,” which will toss out free T-shirts, raffle prizes and a chance to win a $100 gift card to Superstition Springs Mall. Other attractions include rides, carnival games, a rock wall, bounce houses, laser tag, pony rides, hot air balloon rides and zip lines, and everything besides the hot air balloon rides and zip lines — those are $2 each per use — is free.

Red Mountain Soccer Complex is located at 905 N. Sun Valley Blvd., and the event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Visit www.mesaaz.gov/parksrec for more information.
