Public comment will be sought on proposed hunting guidelines from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Arizona Game and Fish Department Mesa regional office, 7200 E. University Drive.
Guideline proposals being explored include: over-the-counter turkey tags for youth, increased standardization of hunt structures, and alternative management units for white-tailed deer.
The hunt guidelines, which will be brought before the Arizona Game and Fish Commission for approval at its Aug. 10-11 meeting in Flagstaff, will guide department wildlife managers for the next two years when crafting their specific unit-by-unit hunt recommendations.
