Mesa-based Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 653 is holding a fundraising car wash Saturday, April 7 from 7 a.m. to noon at the AM/PM at Lindsay and University drives.
The troop, and pack which holds their regular meetings at Mesa’s Central Christian Church, is working to assist with medical bills incurred after one of the mother of one of the cubs was diagnosed with cancer.
In addition to scouts on hand (in “Class B” uniforms) and parents to supervise, the troop is reaching out to the community for other volunteer help and to gather needed supplies.
Supplies needed include buckets, rags, towels, chamois, drying racks, hoses, spray nozzles, sunscreen; volunteer duties will include making signs.
