Wondering what you'll do when the baby cries, how to change a diaper, and just in general, what you're in for as a first-time dad? St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center wants you - in boot camp.
From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, the hospital's Center for Education and Development, Park Central Mall, 3115 N. Third Ave, will offer the Boot Camp for New Dads workshop. Veteran dads will moderate discussions about lifestyle changes that may occur after the baby is born. Topics include caring for mom and baby, working as a team, calming a crying baby and diaper changing, among others.
Participants can register Saturday morning at the event. Cost is $25.
According to a news release, the goal is enable new fathers to "hit the ground crawling" when their first baby arrives.
