Mesa’s Comfort Dental, 1130 S. Country Club Drive, will offer free dental care to those in need from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 24 as part of the company’s national Care Day. Nationally, about 300 Comfort Dental dentists and 1,300 staff members donate their time on Care Day.

The free event was started 29 years ago to improve accessibility to dental care, according to a release. On Christmas Eve morning, all services are free to anyone. Patients are helped on a first-come, first-served basis, and receive a range of basic care from cleanings to extractions. More serious dental problems are handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the dentist, the release said.
