Java lovers who commute to Phoenix or Scottsdale for work, may want to make a stop at a local coffee shop next week to help raise funds for Phoenix Children's Hospital.

The CoffeePledge Against Cancer was created to raise funds for cancer treatment through drink purchases and donations during CoffeeWeek, Monday through Sept. 11.

One hundred percent of public donations and proceeds will benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Information: www.coffeeweek.org, @CoffeeWeek on Twitter, or www.facebook.com/CoffeeWeek.

Participating coffee shops include: Echo Coffee, Fair Trade Café, Press Coffee, and Carmel's Coffee & Bakery.
