Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa will offer a free asthma support event featuring animals from the Phoenix Zoo at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, in the center’s Forever Young Zone, 1400 S. Dobson Road.

Certified asthma educators will answer parents’ questions about asthma and provide demonstrations on how to use inhalers and spacer devices correctly. Other topics include learning to control a child’s asthma and how to handle asthma triggers.

Animals featured at the event will range from snakes to exotic birds to small mammals. The event is open to children of any age and their parents or caregivers.

Registration is required. Call Kimberly Reiners at 480-412-7902.
