The Arizona Department of Health Services will use a random selection process to award certificates for medical marijuana dispensaries in competitive districts. In May, the department received 486 dispensary applications. Most met state qualifications and will be considered for certification.
The selection will take place 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Arizona State Lab, 250 N. 17th Ave., Phoenix.

The selection comes just one day after Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne told Capitol Media Services that he will ask the courts to rule the dispensaries illegal. But Horne said he did not plan to stop Tuesday's selection.
The Arizona Department of Health Services is required by the Arizona law passed in 2010 by voters to select the dispensaries. There will be 126 outlets announced. The number is set by the law, which allows for up to one dispensary for every 10 licensed pharmacies in the state. Where there were multiple applicants submitted - determined by the Community Health Analysis Area system, a random selection will determine who gets the license.

This should have been planned better as not to conflict with the submitted Dispencery Owners veiwing of Bugs Bunney, Thunder Cats or a bevy of other morning cartoons. Have a little consideration State of AZ- sheesh!!!
