Valley ozone health watch issued for Tuesday

An ozone health watch has been issued for Tuesday by the Arizona Department of Environmental Services. Rising ozone levels may approach federal standards, prompting the health watch, according to a release.
Ozone is an invisible gas created when other pollutants in the air are heated by the sun. Prime ozone production comes in the late afternoon. People with existing respiratory conditions should limit time outdoors.
