Gilbert police have released composite drawings of two men they believe sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in her home Tuesday.
As police continue their hunt for the two Hispanic men, they are asking for the public’s help.
The two are 18 to 22 years of age, said Gilbert police spokesman Lt. Joe Ruet. One suspect is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He also has “Our Lady of Guadalupe” tattooed on his left chest, a sleeve on his left arm and another tattoo inside his right arm.
Police described the second suspect as 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
The 14-year-old girl told police that she had invited a man she met on a telephone party line to meet her at a park near her home. Ruet said that instead of meeting her at the park, the man, accompanied by another, showed up at her home about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The girl told police both men assaulted her, and before leaving, took the home’s computer and other items.
The two fled in a small green pickup truck with a pinstripe design described as a flame or a swirl painted on the body.
Anyone with information should call the Gilbert Police Department at (480) 635-7316 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
Ruet advised parents to review their children’s cell phone bills and look for long phone calls to numbers they don’t recognize.
