Games, food, music, a silent auction, and prizes are in the mix as Gilbert Unified School District's Mesquite and Desert Ridge high schools host their eighth annual Special Education Scholarship Fundraising Event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Southeast Regional Library Community Room, 775 N. Greenfield Road.
Cost is $10 per guest and includes appetizers, light sandwiches, and desserts provided by the Desert Ridge culinary students and local restaurants. In addition to the mock casino tables supplied by Firecat Gaming, local merchants are donating door prizes and financial support. Donations are still being accepted.
