A 5,117-square-foot building leased to the U.S. Postal Service for a post office at 16912 E. Ray Road in Gilbert has been sold but will continue to be used as a post office, according to the firm that brokered the deal.

The building was sold by Higley Post Office LLC for $945,000 to Baker Group Northwest LLC, said David Guido, regional manager of the Phoenix office of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services.

The building was developed by the former owner to be rented to the postal service, and the postal agency still has several years remaining on its lease, he said.
