Gilbert Police Department will host a free child ID clinic for children ages 3 and older from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., July 19 at the Super Target store, 3931 S. Gilbert Rd., northeast corner of Gilbert and Germann roads.

According to a news release, each child will receive a laminated photo ID card, and a CD with photo, digital fingerprints, video, voice recording, and child safety tips. Registration is required. Call (480) 635-7520 or (480) 635-7522 to make an appointment.

The ID program is sponsored by the Arizona Crime Prevention Association, Target, and Pediatric Dental Specialists. When necessary, children's ID information is submitted to police agencies and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
