The Gilbert Education Association will host a forum for the three school board candidates 5 p.m. Thursday at Mesquite High School, 500 S. McQueen Road. Newcomers Staci Burk, Blake Sacha and Shane Stapley are seek two open spots on the five-member governing board for the Gilbert Unified School District.
The Gilbert Education Association represents teachers in the district. Board president Thad Stump announced last spring he would not seek re-election.
Board member Adelaida V. Severson sought election, but was disqualified and removed from the ballot.
