The Gilbert Family Birdwalks start 8 a.m. Saturday at Gilbert Riparian Preserve, 2757 E. Guadalupe Road.

With the promise of cooler temperatures in fall, the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, 2757 E. Guadalupe Road, will kick off its Gilbert Family Birdwalks series 8 a.m. to noon. The walks are held the third Saturday of the month, October through March.
Desert Rivers Audubon volunteer guides will be on-hand to highlight native birds and other wildlife. Liberty Wildlife will have rehabilitated raptors on display. Visitors can borrow binoculars at no charge.
