More than a few children will receive a happy surprise this Christmas thanks to students at Mesa’s Stapley Junior High School, the Mesa Young Marines and the United States Marine Corps.
A motorcycle crew arrived at Stapley Tuesday morning to help escort the more than 700 toys students there collected for the U.S. Marine Corp’s annual Toys for Tots drive. A Marine color guard accepted the gifts with students from the school watching and cheering. Students also collected $1,000.
