House Speaker Kirk Adams, R-Mesa, has a new title, and it’s not ‘Congressman’ — at least not yet. The grassroots group, Arizona Parents for Education, has named Adams its Legislator of the Year. He was honored by the group for his “steadfast support of distance learning in public education.”
“Arizona is fortunate to have Speaker Adams fighting for our children,” Arizona Parents for Education President Ann Robinett said in a news release.
Adams may still fight for kids, but it won’t be as House Speaker.

Arizona Parents for Education? Giving an award to someone for his involvement in education after cutting funding by hundreds of millions of dollars over several years is like giving an award to Lee Harvey Oswald for his leadership in exercising his right o freedom of expression. The last two "awards" were given to Speaker Adams and none other than John Huppenthal! If you go to the Arizona Parents for Education website, you'll find absolutely nothing...which is about what any award they give is worth...absolutely nothing.
