Students in school districts and public charter schools across Arizona are preparing for testing this month.

Grades three through eight will take the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards, or AIMS, during the next two weeks.

Students in grades two and nine will also be taking the Stanford 10 tests.

High school sophomores take AIMS tests at various times in the spring.

Current high school students must pass the AIMS exam to receive a diploma. There are some exceptions, such as receiving a high enough score on a college entrance exam.

Anyone who is a junior and senior who has not passed AIMS will also take the test.
