Scales Technology Academy first-grade teacher Linda Omer was named a 2011 Rodel Exemplary Teacher by the Rodel Charitable Foundation of Arizona. The Tempe teacher is one of just eight teachers to receive the honor in Maricopa County.
The Rodel Exemplary Teacher Initiative seeks to increase the number of excellent teachers in high-need schools by recognizing teachers with a track record of student achievement. Rodel Exemplary Teachers are honored at a banquet and each receives $10,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds.
