With growing demand for technicians and temperatures averaging greater than 100 degrees for three or more months annually, there is a demand for more workers trained in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)

Beginning in August, the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), located in Mesa, will offer training to high school students tuition-free during their junior and senior years. The course will teach the basics of HVAC in a hands-on lab space created specifically for this career path. HVAC training is also available for tuition-paying adults through the EVIT School of Adult Education.

Registration is underway for the 2012-13 school year. For more information, including how to apply, visit www.evit.com or call (480) 461-4000.
