The Adult Education Department at Mesa’s East Valley Institute of Technology is offering three classes starting in February for those wanting to learn more about air brushing, Adobe Photoshop, and computers.
Payment plans are available from the Adult Education Center for each class.
The eight-week “Art of Air Brushing” course starts Feb. 26 and will cover basic principles, knowledge and vocabulary for air brushing with strong emphasis on brushes, parts, equipment, cleaning solutions, paints and different techniques. Students must already have their own air brush and air cord. They will work on their assignments in EVIT’s Collision Repair lab.
The air brushing class meets 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and costs $200. Students must register by Feb. 18.
The six-week “Adobe Photoshop Level I” class starts Feb. 28 and will give students a basic to intermediate foundation in the use of electronic techniques to select, manipulate and edit images for digital photographic retouching, graphic design and image correction.
The Adobe Photoshop class meets 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays and costs $175. Registration must be completed by Feb. 21.
The nine-week “Introduction to Computers: Basic Level I” course starts Feb. 25 and will cover basic business applications for all business and personal computer needs, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation.
The computer class meets 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays and costs $225. Registration must be completed by Feb. 25.
EVIT’s adult education training programs are open to adult learners living or working in the Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Phoenix metro areas. All adult education classes are offered at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell (Main) campus at 1601 W. Main Street in Mesa.
