Scottsdale Unified School District is three schools closer — but about three years away — from becoming an all-excelling school district, according to district officials.
"That’s our vision, that’s our goal," Superintendent John Baracy said.
Twenty-one of Scottsdale’s 35 schools ranked as excelling this year, up from 18 last year, a state report on Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards said.
The district ranks first in the state for excelling schools.
Ildi Laczko-Kerr, director of student information management and accountability reporting, said the district made an effort to use student data alongside expanding its intervention teams for remediation and enrichment.
