German Cardenas of Tempe's McClintock High School is one of 19 Arizona students to be honored with a Tostitos Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship.

The fund, administered in partnership with the Cesar Chavez Foundation, will provide $500,000 over the next five years to qualified Latino high school students.

Upon receipt of their awards, scholarship recipients agree to complete 30 hours of service with the PepsiCo/Frito-Lay Adelante Employee Resource Group.
