The Tempe Union High School District Governing Board on Tuesday named Kenneth Baca the new superintendent of schools effective July 1.

Baca is currently the assistant superintendent for business services for Phoenix Elementary School District and has been with that district since 2002. He previously served the Phoenix Elementary School District as director of assessment, evaluation and externally funded programs. Baca has also served as region assistant to the associate superintendent with Albuquerque Public Schools.

Baca will replace current superintendent Steve Adolph, who will retire June 30.

Isn't Tempe, AZ the town with THREE different school districts????...
Tempe Elementary School District #3, Kyrenne School District & Tempe Unified School District...all suffering declining classroom enrollment problems??? Merge the 3 school districts into 1 & save $$$$...LOL!
