The Gilbert Unified School District governing board will have a public hearing for the 2008-09 budget at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the district office, 140 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert.
The board will present the proposed budget for the 2008-09 school year and the primary tax levy increase.
After the public hearing, the board is expected to adopt the proposed budget, approve the primary tax levy increase and appoint a principal for Islands Elementary School.
