Cassandra Hope, a sixth-grader at Mesa’s Christ the King School, won first place among 17 Diocese of Phoenix schools in the recent diocese science fair. Cassandra crafted a science project dubbed “harmonic motion.”

In addition, two eighth-graders at the school, Brice Smith and Taylor Martinez, will compete in the written portion of the state’s Grammar Bowl on March 24. They were among 90 finalists selected from the online contest to compete at ASU in the finals.
