The first class will show how parents can help their children foster productive homework habits and skills. Other topics will include gifted education, child development, parental expectations, testing and dual language.

Twelve different classes will be offered throughout the 2012-13 school year and taught by education experts.

The ongoing, 45-minute seminar classes are free to parents of full-time students at New Vistas. Parents outside the school may participate for a $10 fee. Reservations required at (480) 963-2313. To obtain the schedule, see www.newvistasblog.com.
