School board seats in all E.V. districts on November ballot

All East Valley school district governing boards, including the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, have seats up for election on Nov. 2.

Interested candidates can find information on the Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools website at www.maricopa.gov/schools/. Candidates must collect between 60 and 400 signatures, depending on where they are seeking office. The first day to file signature petitions is July 6; the deadline is Aug. 4. All of the local school districts have two, four-year seats available. Queen Creek Unified School District also has one two-year seat available. EVIT has one seat available in each of its five subdistricts. Information: (602) 506-3978.
