Anthony Mirabito, a student at Gilbert’s Neely Traditional Academy, won first place in the fiction category in Arizona StoryMakers Writing Contest.

He was recognized in the sixth-grade category in the Qwest StoryMakers Writing Awards ceremony in April his story, “Ransack Revenge.” More than 1,400 entires were received. His teacher is Lori Rajnisz.
