Arizona State University will not seek a tuition increase for in-state residents for the 2014-2015 school year.
In a press release Friday, the University sent a proposal to the Arizona Board of Regents seeking a 3 percent increase in tuition for out-of-state residents, while also proposing a $150 student athletic fee.
The fee--$75 per semester--will help fund academic support areas, strengthen graduate and undergraduate academic experiences and benefic student engagement in athletics, according to the release.
The athletic fee was initiated and supported by Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA) leadership.
The Board will vote on the recommendation April 3 in Tucson.
Tuition hearings will take place March 25 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on each of ASU's four campuses.
