The Kyrene Elementary School District will host public forums beginning tonight for community members to meet the four finalists in the search for a new superintendent.
The finalists will tell a little about themselves and then answer questions from the audience. The district’s governing board is seeking feedback from the forums before choosing a new superintendent by mid-June.
The forums will be at the district office, 8700 S. Kyrene Road in Tempe.
Heidi Pace, chief for administrative support services in Academy District Twenty in Colorado, will introduce herself and answer questions from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today. David Schauer, Kyrene’s assistant superintendent of instructional services, will do the same from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Forums for the final two candidates will be Thursday.
Thomas Jandris, chief executive officer for Progress Education Corporation in Illinois, will speak and answer questions from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and Greg Riccio, superintendent of the Eastside Union School District in California, will follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
