ASU student and Gilbert resident Kristine O'Connor-Delgado, 43, has been selected as a recipient of the 2011 UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship. UCB, Inc., a Belgium-based global biopharmaceutical company, announced the award last week. O'Connor-Delgado is one of 40 winners selected from a pool of over 800 applicants from across the country to receive up to $5,000 in scholarship money. She is a recent graduate of Pima Medical Institute, and is pursuing a degree in psychology.

This scholarship is awarded each year to inspiring people whose lives have been affected by epilepsy, and who seek personal growth through higher learning.
